A shallow tide under the night’s clear sky brings to life the fleeting hopes of those who’ve left behind all they know. A swift escape from the carnage brought on by psychopathic directors. Moving away from all the bloodshed towards the coast; travelling light, huddled tight and praying those waves don’t rise before the unconvincing vessel takes its course. Not much of a choice, facing a desperate sail fraught with risk. No cause, just an instinct of survival, slowly trudging north in search of solace and reprieve. Any sort of sanctuary from the ordeal and grief. Surely they’ll see? No... Caught between the margins, left outside; face down, bridge pulled, door closed, rug swept.
No hope at the end of this arduous path where morons wait with a scowl in staunch defence of ‘our’ exclusive haven. Perfect bliss for the megalomaniacs and jingoist.
